- edited June 2013I agree!
I have the Sims 3, and a lot of slider mods so my people don't all look the same. It took the Sims 3 quite a while to introduce the breast slider for women, but they don'r have much else, except muscle and weight. I also never liked how Sims didn't have different body shapes, such as wide hips, or broader shoulders on some Sims. Hopefully, they will add these details into Sims 4, but I honestly doubt it :S0 - edited June 2013I agree!

I agree with this as well. I dislike the fact that my sims look the same body wise, they need more shape, more distinguishing physical features, like adjusting waist size would be great or adding more weight to a sim not just in the stomach where they look like a balloon -_- - edited June 2013
- edited June 2013Each muscle? That would be...time consuming to say the least
- edited June 2013Seasons toggle button in build mode poll. Vote now please!
- edited June 2013Just some sliders to be able to do some body shape like those below.
James Vega (Bodybuilder)
Dante (thin belly and large shoulders) - edited June 2013Nah.. don't fancy that look in real life and don't want it in my gameSeasons toggle button in build mode poll. Vote now please!
- edited June 2013Don't care about all the detail being in s4, just want the muscle and breast sliders in the base game and not have to wait for it.'Nothing stinks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you are wrong.'

- edited June 2013I agree. There's a huge difference between Micheal Phelps and The Rock and we should be able to create sims like them equally.0
- edited June 2013That's too detailed.
Then have it set up like the Pets sliders work.
You can choose from the overall and basic sliders, the presets, and also (if you so choose) go into a more detailed and fine tuned selection.
Really, the Sims is about the player being able to create what they want.
Why not give a player options as to how much (or little) detail they want?0 - edited June 2013
How can you be against this idea? It's not too detailed, it's a great idea.Nah.. don't fancy that look in real life and don't want it in my game - edited June 2013Totally agreed. At the very least they should have some preset body types like the traditional Ectomorph, Mezzomorph and Endomorph and THEN have sliders set up so you can customize musculature, waist to hip ratio along with bust size, derriere size, shoulder width, etc.
- edited June 2013I agree
They do need to allow change in how big each area is (like thicker arms or legs ect) like the do with the pets... it is a good idea.
Also allow for different heights! Not everyone is 1 height... for example, I'm 5 3, my fiancee is 5 10-11. (I'm also hoping they do the same for pets. - edited June 2013
The only problem with this is getting social animations to work properly with this.I agree

They would have to remake a separate animation for each height with each other height, otherwise the animation would cause sims who are say, kissing, to miss eachother's faces.. :S
Although, technology has come a long way now, it could be possible to have some sort of AI to help with this?0 - edited June 2013I am really curious as to what the 'big changes to CAS' are... I agree totally that more customisation of different muscles would be amazing. Heights... presets maybe, but I'm not holding my breath. But yes... very eager to see what they mean by that!!!
- edited June 2013I think a system similar to the pets would be great for sims both male and female - like an overall weight/muscle the split into legs, arms, shoulders, waist etc. And height would be amazing, even just short, medium and tall.

That is very true. If not 4, maybe they can work on it for a future one, 5. (now that's way in the future. Then make it so there's certain heights only, even just 2 different heights would be nice.. and even just a small difference is better than none. - edited June 2013One modification would also CAS Yes Not only the height of the body as observed previously but in height. A Sim tall and thin or short and fat. Thus it would be much more interesting ...

Oh yeah ! You understood exactly what I tried to mean  - edited June 2013This does sound like a great idea. Although I'll admit I can still be super lazy and use the sliders at a bare minimum how detailed they are or not, lol.

That's why I suggest to introduce the preset bodies - edited June 2013Agree for sure! My husband is very slim but has big 'guns' in his upper arms because he does massive amounts of push ups everyday along with a lot of cardio. His body type just doesn't lend itself to a large frame but that doesn't mean he has skinny arms. On the other hand, I have slim hips but I'm pretty voluptuous up top. It would be nice to make Sim-selves that resemble us better in shape and size. And I love the idea of basic body types to start with and then sliders for customization.
- edited June 2013I totally agree with this idea! And this idea is NOT too detailed--all you have to do is use the 'average' or 'pre-set' settings--anyone who wanted to use more detail then is free to do so on their own.
- edited June 2013I like the idea of having a choice between ectomorph, endomorph and mesomorph, and having that affect things like how quickly your sim builds muscle or puts on weight. I like the idea of being able to give my sims different shapes. I don't think I would use sliders for every single muscle, that would be very time consuming, but I would like more choice: in particular I would like a hip slider a waist slider, and perhaps a shoulder width/bulk slider. Maybe muscles groups could have individual sliders? So you could have arms/legs/upper torso/lower torso for example? I think that, along with a hip and waist slider would allow for most body shapes and quite a lot of variety.
I would like to see height options, I like the idea of small/medium/tall settings.
I think it would be nice to have tall, lean sims; curvey sims; apple shaped sims; muscular compact sims; etc. I think this far along in the life of the sims franchise we really should have this level of customisation options. After all, the sims themselves are the basic ingredient of the game!
I just found this image from Mod the Sims (in a thread titled 'The Sims 4: Wants/Needs/Must-Haves') which illustates the potential nicely:
